http://www.bouguereau.org/William Adolph Bouguereau -He isn't as popular as the impressionists are in our time, in fact it sounds as though he is very controversial now - how wonderful! I love his translucent flesh tones and you can always learn something from almost everyone. I certainly never have heard about him before but I will definitely have to investigate his technique if possible! *see link above to his webpage

The Sun Goes Down And The World Goes Dancing Lyrics So the sun goes down and the world goes dancing And the stars come out and they all go dancing And there is nothing I'd like more Than a twirl across this rickety old floor Well I don't know why but I just feel like dancing I can't imagine why but I feel like dancing And there is nothing in this world That I'd like better than a twirl across your rickety old floor Maybe it's you You know your eyes are awful blue Maybe it's more Maybe you're all I ever waited for After all the endless nights when I wished I could still cry

Some the more unaccustomed customs from other nations for Christmas!
You herd me- Krampus!
Nikolaus(as in Saint Nick) and his side-kick Krampus(?) in Austria. Krampaus whips the little kiddies into shape if they're misbehave n'. Some the more unaccustomed customs from other nations for Christmas!
Kinda looks like a Rogue Yeti...
Here is a site dedicated to Krampaus with linkypoos:
And a wild Krampaus video above...

Telestar by the Tornados | This song has been inspirational for my painting "Pursuit" "Telstar is a 1962 instrumental record performed by The Tornados. It was the first single by a British band to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and was also a number one hit in the UK. The record was named after the AT&T communications satellite Telstar, which went into orbit in July 1962." |
